About:
D-Qure was born and raised in Montego Bay, Jamaica. At a young age he moved to Brooklyn, New York, where he developed his skills as a songwriter and performer. He is equally adept at singing over r&b grooves, and chatting over dancehall riddims. As a solo artist, or with his old group Chapter One, D-Qure has performed around the northeast region of the United States and in Jamaica. Chapter One's song "Touch Your Body" (featuring dancehall artist Skina) was included in the soundtrack to the movie "Foreign." D-Qure has also appeared on local TV networks in the U.S. Several publications, including "Black Beat" and "Caribbean Life," have written about his music and performances. On his current project, D-Qure is collaborating with award-winning songwriter/producer Alexx Antaeus. Their unique blend of reggae, pop, r&b, and hip-hop has been labeled "crossover dancehall" music.
